That's kind of you to say about my posts! It's only three episodes long, I believe. I think part of the reason for the clunkiness may be that what may work in a written narrative doesn't quite on screen, although the opening voiceover and scene was surely a choice, and probably, like you say, an attempt to be 'punchy'!
