shallowness: Margaret Hale of North and South adaptation sitting at desk writing (Margaret North and South writing)

I am most pleased that Edith finally got a happy ending. Never liked her in the early seasons

It really was. Like you say, she's had so much misery, looking back, so at some point, I started desperately wanting her to be happy. The way things have worked out with Bertie have been lovely, and I'm spiteful enough to get a kick of her outranking Mary and being able to invite her to a castle.

Daisy has just stagnated, and you'd have thought the achievement of gaining an education would have helped her self-confidence. I will take lust as an in-universe reason for her liking Andrew. For me, having her move in with Mr Mason and be open to him and Mrs Patmore romancing would have been happy ending enough, but I felt this was inevitable from the end of the last series.

Having Rose be able to shore up Robert/Cora and getting to see Cora shine were sweet.
