I'm sorry for the dilatory reply. I'm glad this phenomenon extends beyond 'stuff that I've noticed.' I suppose it's partially nostalgia. I see your examples and raise you a Farscape :)

I wonder if Jen would be more sympathetci in a rewatch, partly because I wouldn't be watching it as someone who was close to the characters' age any more, and knowing what happens next.
