I can't say I'm disappointed not to have watched Belgravia - reading your reviews has been quite sufficient.

I liked you comment on 'didn’t know you were in an ITV period drama', so very true.

And yes, Julian Fellowes can at least write a story with beginning, middle and end. It would be easy enough for him to reuse the characters in a different story - repackage them a bit and off you go again. I think Andrew Davies misjudged how good his series was - I always thought the point of adapting an unfinished novel was to finish it. Although I do like the way Sanditon ended means I get to write Sidney Parker in all sorts of negative ways ;)
