Fanfiction recs in the following fandoms: 10 Things I Hate About You, Agents of SHIELD, Crazy Rich Asians (film), Dredd and Gilmore Girls.
10 Things I Hate About You
(next year it’ll be clear) this was only leading me to that: alasse (Kat/Patrick, Kat/OFC, teen, long, post movie)
This fic gave me the warm and fuzzies, getting to watch Kat and Patrick be there for each other, and encourage each other just to be themselves, because they know each other . Especially as someone who always thought Kat Stafford was glorious. As well as the Kat/Patrick slow burn, I loved Kat and Bianca's relationship too as they matured, and the nostalgia hit was a bonuse.
Agents of SHIELD
Yippee Ki-Yay: selenay (Simmons, Fitz, May, gen, long)
Great, emotionally-grounded early doors fic where Fitzsimmons and May have to work together and out of their comfort zones in a tight spot. Particularly good Jemma voice. (A couple of SPAG errors.)
Crazy Rich Asians
Big Game: innie (Rachel/Nick, pre-movie)
Absolutely delightful meet cute. The characters and tone were spot on.
Dredd
Laws Unfailing and Unwritten: ArabellaMoxie (gen, Dredd, Anderson, OCs, teen)
What an intriguing, thought-provoking almost Les Mis fusion. Dredd is well drawn in an understated way, and the ending is perfect.
Gilmore Girls
Reality Check: Nestra (Luke/Lorelai ficlet, early seasons)
Summary: "One of these days, he'll kiss her."
Oh, Luke Danes!
