I think that a lot of British sitcom writers have 'Fawlty Towers' in mind, and this troupe have a lot of experience, and probably some power about when to say it was done and they wanted to move on because 'Ghosts' was so popular.

I loved Deep Space Nine when it first came out, and I'm meant to be in the middle of a rewatch, because there were definitely some episodes I missed, but that rewatch is on a break and I'm mainly concentrating on rewatching The West Wing. Ha, this is a reminder I should be getting on with that!
