When Parks and Rec reached the hundred

Parks and Rec 6.9 The Cones of Dunshire

Lots of facepalmy ‘oh Ben!’ moments here even if he is the one I identify with the most, bar the love of Excel. Obviously, staying at the accountants’ couldn’t be healthy for him, although I think they could have sustained the joke for longer than an episode, but yes, they would appreciate the game.

Meanwhile, Leslie still doesn’t know where she’s going to go and do, as other people move on, with Ron selling his cabin and April buying it and Ann and Chris getting ready to go.

Jamm is so wrong, yet pitiful. He totally got excited about having Leslie and Chris around over the weekend, and yet one isn’t surprised his wife wanted some distance from him.

And Donna Meagle, secret yet competent (and fair) estate agent (no wonder she dabbles). Proof of April’s confusion about what type of dog she’d be.

6.10 Second Chance

Good opener. A visibly exhausted Pratt looked like it wasn’t hard for him to play jetlagged!Andy.

City manager Ben’s first big challenge would be dealing with Leslie’s last day. Heh to KBell’s operatic harmonisation. And, of course, Leslie’s coping mechanism was terrible. (But I was glad that we saw that she was still Deputy Director of Parks and Rec for what that's worth.)

It did make sense that Dexhart got another sex scandal, although he probably got one every day, not just on Leslie’s last one. I did laugh out loud (and first type it as the acronym and then delete it and type it out in full) at Gerry supporting her no good idea. But it was good that it was Jenn who got her to think she should aim higher. Good gift, Mr Knope.

Winkler’s Dr Sapperstein worked well as all the things he needed to be - being Tom’s nasty nemesis, the helpless father of his awful son and sweet if incomprehensible to Ann and Chris. He too contains multitudes.

I should be more supportive of Tom the business liaison...

And presumably the Parisian authorities got grouchy about the chains on that bridge after this was filmed or I can't see those two doing it unless they were drunk.

Cumulatively, it did live up to being a hundredth episode, yes.
