I wish I had a 'confused' icon
Parks and Rec
Where did 7.1 go, DAVE? I've been catching up and only one episode was available last week, like the week before, as far as I'm concerned. So, I was a little confused watching 7.2 Ron and Jammy. Subsequent research suggests that it's in the future, but at the time I was confused about that, who was working for who and why Leslie and Ron were at loggerheads. What I could follow was that this episode was mainly about Jamm falling into Tammy 2’s clutches and Leslie and Ron teaming up to rescue him, so there was a bit of deprogramming, which involved bad acting and crazy inventions from Ron and Amy Poelher’s excellent Megan Mullally impersonation.
The hot mess that is Joan Calamazzo inspired April to have a freak-out about her job (see above about me not knowing what it was, she seems to have dropped whatever she was doing with the animal rescue stuff, for instance. Poor April’s career, let’s lampshade what the show has done to it by keeping the character on) and Ben kindly helping her. Donna turned up to give an 'explanation' for why April was acting so weird.
And Andy and Tom were idiots together in Chicago, which was, perhaps, the most reassuring strand for a confused viewer.
7.3 William Henry Harrison
Morning Star???
I’m getting more of a grip on why Leslie and Ron are feuding – although is this the sort of thing Leslie should be concerned with in her ‘new job’? And Ron being linked to Gryzzl??? What they came up with in their war felt like a little bit of a retread.
Meanwhile, April was still in a tailspin about her career prospects, and ‘Terry’ is a notary, but Ben still can’t get the two signatures he needs in the right format. Poor Ben.
Both Andy and ‘Terry’ came up with some surprising insight. Perhaps you can tell I didn't get much out of this episode.
