Recs 2/?
This has more to do with my not being beforehand enough to post about TV I've been watching than Reccing Thursday.
Fanvid and fanfiction recs in the following fandoms: In the Mood for Love, The Invisible Library, Killing Eve and Lord of the Rings.
In the Mood for Love
Without You: bingeling (Chow Mo-wan/Su Li-zhen Chan)
The modern music works well with the visuals saturated in period detail in this vid because of the yearning expressed in both, and the space the song gives, well exploited, to explore stillness and movement. This grew on me.
The Invisible Library
A Flame in Two Cupped Hands: skieswideopen (Post ‘The Lost Plot’ Irene/Kai casefic. Long.)
What a treat this was! I enjoyed how the plot unfolded a lot, the Irene/Kai and the character exploration generally.
Killing Eve
Little Bit More: blithesea (Rated explicit for violence, spoilers for season 1)
This vid is fabulously character-driven: Villanelle's gleeful psychopathy and Eve's obsessive persistence...
Lord of the Rings
Five things that never happened to Faramir and Eowyn: Altariel (Faramir/Eowyn, AUs, ficlet)
And thank goodness they didn’t. Heart-breaking ‘what if’s.
