Good premise, characterisation and interactions.
Legally Blonde
Pink Stiletto Spiky: Missy (gen, BtVS fusion, ficlet)
Pitch perfect snap of the origins of Elle the Vampire Slayer.
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman
Field of Dreams: Caroline K. (post season 1 AU, Lois/Clark, AU)
I found this so heartwarming. In a universe where Clark doesn’t make it to Metropolis, but things with Lex Luthor go about equally badly, a traumatised Lois goes to ‘the last place on earth’ where the Kents, all in their own ways, take care of her after meeting her, helping her move from depression (and preconceptions) to regaining her sense of self. This take on how she meets and gets to know Clark works as its own unique thing in this scenario, but is also quintessentially Lois/Clark (admittedly this show’s take on them is pretty formative for me.)
Sanditon
Set the Wild Echoes Flying: nove1198 (Charlotte/Sidney post 1.07 ficlet)
Excellent job of capturing Charlotte’s thoughts and feelings at this point.
The Star of Kazan
The Emperor’s Horse Comes Home: tryfanstone (gen, Rocco, ensemble, canon couples)
What an emotional wallop this coda carries! The author does such a good job of bringing post-war Vienna to life, contrasting it with the Vienna depicted so lovingly in the book, and the tone was very like.
Star Trek: The Next Generation/Harry Potter
House Guests: Qoheleth (gen, ensemble)
Want to know which house the Enterprise's crew would get sorted into? This was a lot of fun, and I bought into why each character got sorted where.
