When I saw the trailer for 'The English' on YouTube months ago, I presumed Hugo Blick was doing features now but no, it turns out it's a six parter, and it starts tonight, so I will be watching. In one sentence it looks like it's a Western revenge featuring Emily Blunt, with at least one significant native American character. 'The Honourable Woman' and 'Black Earth Rising' had their problems, but they were certainly thought-provoking...

I'm not sure I'll be posting episode by episode, but my viewing patterns have definitely changed. Some of that's down to Strictly returning and It Takes Two being on when I binge watched season 1, but I've also been reading 'The Ink Black Heart', which I've finished. Hart of Dixie – second half of season 1

I binged from 1.13 to 1.22 last week. Part of the reason was wanting to know what would happen next (e.g. I felt I had to know who they’d cast as Zoe’s father, seeing as Vice President Hoynes is Lemon’s daddy. GOOD CHOICE on Dr Hunt senior, show.) But also I was avoiding a lot of news coverage and shows I’d normally watch had been cancelled.

I’ve started bingeing (i.e. watching almost one ep every night) Hart of Dixie. I should have checked whether the show runners knew they were getting cancelled and it didn’t end on a never-to-be-resolved cliffhanger. Too late now. It’s available on ITVHub and was promoted during the Sanditon ad breaks (as was Veronica Mars, I chose to watch this for novelty. I’ve since learned they’ve also got Chuck, so I could finally see the seasons I missed too…)
