It’s been a somewhat Regency-tinged Christmas, in that I rewatched the 2020 adaptation of Emma, and most of what I thought the first time around applies, only the song selection particularly struck me this time. I also watched Mr Malcom’s List on DVD, ( My generally positive review if you embrace what it is )

When I saw the trailer for 'The English' on YouTube months ago, I presumed Hugo Blick was doing features now but no, it turns out it's a six parter, and it starts tonight, so I will be watching. In one sentence it looks like it's a Western revenge featuring Emily Blunt, with at least one significant native American character. 'The Honourable Woman' and 'Black Earth Rising' had their problems, but they were certainly thought-provoking...

I had planned to post about Ghosts and The West Wing yesterday, and then get on with watching The West Wing last night, but then I realised the Strictly launch show was on, and I had no self-imposed deadline for tidying up my ramblings about The West Wing. As Strictly is going to take over my Saturday nights for the foreseeable, I’m also goin to have to rethink when I choose to be my new The West Wing slot.
