I'm slightly torn, because on the one hand, there’s Mindy/Danny, an actual thing that is adorably happening (oho, liked him for a while confessions) and on the other, everything else. Like how New Doctor was the first to figure it out. All the sleaze - those sleazy brothers were meant to remind us of the brother midwives, right? And – I haven’t been tracking this – but if you’re having a jab at guys putting down women directors, I wonder how many women directors this show’s had.
But on the other hand, Mindy wanting to take it slow because it’s special, how happy they were at first, the echo of Danny rushing to Mindy’s hospital bed at the start of the season...
The only justification for asking your American boyfriend to read BJD would surely be to do the accents. Messina’s English accent was gently puzzling but inoffensive.
Finally, if I agree a lot with Danny a lot of the time, does that make me judgemental by this show's standards?
