The Good Wife 6.15 Open Source
At least we saw some clips of that interview Alicia was prepping for in the last ep. So, Cary wants her to leech off Canning in the ICU - really, Cary?; Peter is now an issue in the election and Jon may be leaving for another campaign, which means he’s not on the same page as Alicia, (or maybe he’s trying to distance himself before he is). My reaction was relief that Alicia has normal episode concerns.
Nice to see Finn work with Diane as they face off whatsherface – did she or the judge editorialise the most? More than nice to see Kurt, although the company probably should drop him as their gun expert given the glaring conflict of interest.
My mind wandered as I tried to work out how 'open source' was a metaphor for everything else.
Aha, so Finn brought the client to the firm. Good to see all the tensions arise within the legal team and Diane and her gun expert/HUSBAND.
And aha, Jon asked Eli for the California job.
Marissa was so bad at lying to her dad – and Eli is utterly rubbish at being unbiased about the question of what Peter means for Alicia's campaign.
But I was disgusted that he managed to blackmail Jon, especially as the latter was clearly lying to Alicia about why he wanted the other job.
Um, Alicia, just because David Lee thinks something is a bad idea doesn’t make it a good one automatically.
I love them for making Diane and Kurt’s disagreement come back to their political beliefs/ideolagy – and the line about running as a candidate was a very neat one given that Alicia’s doing just that. Suggestive too, what has Diane been saying about it at home?
Marissa was spot on for ripping into Jon because she knows her father (and probably ships Alicia/Jon).
I wasn’t entirely surprised that they went with Prady not being gay.
Yes, Canning and Lee would, Alicia.
Late for Kalinda to turn up, but at least she, like Finn, did her job. And Diane realised what she’d done wrong and apologised for it.
Yay, Jon found his spine. Which probably helped with the looking up and seeing Alicia be a great candidate. I really liked the awkward, unsure way he er, expressed his feelings, until there wasn’t any uncertainty at all. (But I don't think it's going to last, between everything.)
So that’s two ships ending happily. I hope they don’t mess up Peter’s reaction to Alicia’s attack and the election results. I shouldn't be worried about that, show, I should be utterly excited.
B99 2.16 The Wednesday Incident
What I have to say doesn't need a cut tag: I enjoyed it! I chuckled – more and more as the ep went on. They are all such oddballs.
2.17 Boyle-Linetti Wedding
As I was watching it straight after the above, I had a permagrin at managing!Gina, forced to save the wedding, Rosa dealing with ‘lurve’ and ‘feelings’, some Jake/Amy – but a perfectly goofy ending and pay-off, which was appropriate given the borderline stalking/obsession with Jenny.
Not a stone cold atrocity at all.
