As the announcer said, the penultimate episode - I wonder whether it'll be recommissioned. Feedback has been mixed, I've heard it given high praise and of people who gave up in disappointment after the first episode (the phones are all wrong, don't you know.) I'm still somewhere in between both extremes.
I'd have liked this episode more if there had been more focus on the next programme. that was the most interesting bits. There were lots of pointless conversations, usually with one of the characters saying they had to be somewhere else and me thinking 'well, don't have this pointless conversation then'. Lix is still the best (her talking about her time in Spain MADE ME WANT TO SEE IT SO MUCH. And I think her missing the boat on her Freddie might have been more interesting.) As hestia8 (how do you do dreamwidth user tags?) has said, the Freddie-Bel-Hector triangle isn't going to end well. While I sympathise with Bel that everyone is getting at her and not Hector, Clarence was well within his rights. Speaking of rights, I don't know how many Hector has to feel jealous of the (type of) attention Bel gives Freddie, seeing as he's CHEATING ON HIS WIFE.
I think the Russians are guilty of a wind-up: Ruth's connections might make her a Bright Stone, but Freddie !?!?!? Heh. I was also very tickled by the headscarf, for some reason. Part of the Freddie-Hector game.
