Revenge 4.21 Aftermath

Losing the house meant even less to Emily who is now more Amanda than losing the Stowaway did to Jack, PREDICTABLY, so I tended to think that Victoria faked her own death until informed definitely otherwise (and I mean more than Officer Ben saying the coroner said so) or the series ended. I cheered the disbelieving Ems and Louise.

I also noted that no-one mentioned Charlotte as, oh, Vicky’s next of kin alongside Whatshisname – heh, remember when he was her favourite son over Daniel? - as a better reason than a mani-pedi for her not to kill herself. It is in keeping with when Charlotte was actually on the show, and everyone forgot about her. If she turns out to be the wielder of the sharpie pen, I expect a moment’s befuddlement at the big reveal, as the characters suddenly remember her existence.

Actually, the more interesting question is how Ems kept the house clean with no housekeeper – did Nolan provide her with robots? Indeed, does he have robots? I know they didn’t make a big deal of their situation with servants because they’re trying to sell them as outsiders who made their way into the Hamptons society. Still, all these ‘summers’ in, I presume they have them call in.

A whiff of early Revenge about the dialogue as Emily and Nolan considered the demise of Victoria and Mason did his thing.

Jack clearly has not yet learnt where not to have supersecret phone conversations in “LA”.

Shirtless men was the theme of this episode. Not that they've stinted in general.

Not nice to call Louise crazy, Amanda!

Of course Officer Ben interviewed Amanda. Again. Of course. But dead Mason who was keeping hidden being her alibi was worth a chortle. The truth with Ems is usually dafter than the evil thing she’s accused of.

Jack turning up at the station was worthy of a bit of a gasp of surprise from me. Ems asking him why he didn’t say goodbye was a legitimate question, although we all know the answer, and although the hand-reach was lovely, his response made total sense.

I thought the reason they gave for sending Tony away (even if father-son issues was what piqued Tony’s interest in Nolan) was lame. I expected him to be secretly evil. Meh. So we have Sad!Nolan for lame reasons. I hope Gabriel Mann gets a good job after this.

ILU Jack Porter for finally asking if one of Officer Ben’s interviews involves a conflict of interest. OF COURSE IT DOES, LIKE 90% OF HIS INTERVIEWS. And your percentage was pretty high too.

The scene where Amanda confronted her father was good, but not allowed the space and time to breathe with everything else (oh fine, mainly the Emily/Jack) that was happening.

Understandable that Mason would join Victoria in revenge on Emily with vindictive glee.

I have noticed that they’ve been giving Ems the wee!Amanda waves for ages now.

There are probably diminishing returns to having Jack or Emily in the now relive wee!Amanda witnessing David being arrested at night FOR A CRIME THEY DIDN’T COMMIT.
