The Mentalist double bill

The Mentalist has returned, which I found out by happy accident, really. I caught up on 6.9 My Blue Heaven via Demand 5 (do you see what they’re doing with the titles? I thought they’d decided to do what they did in 6.8 because of TPTB, but now I’m thinking the writers’ room had run out of red-tinged titles.) For once, the midseason break was well timed – normally it irritates me so much I just wish British channels would push the starting date for showing the new season back a la More 4 with The Good Wife.

Just checked, Person of Interest isn’t back from the midseason break, but Agents of SHIELD (about which I’m much less excited) is coming back to US screens soon.
