There had to be a new-fangled doo-hickey in the last ever episode!
Daisy did fancy Thomas in the first season, much to poor William Mason's heartbreak. (They then repeated the storyline with other characters and added Ivy).
The Daisy/Andy development definitely suffered from the decision to just show two specific periods of time in the show.
