The funniest bit was probably Peralta and Boyle tiptoeing around ‘quietly’ and slowly to find weapons and an outfit. Maximum impact? Gina getting to wield a ‘flame-thrower’ after they Chekhov gunned it or Amy running into the water to yell at Holt and Rosa and then take it back because Jake was in trouble. I suppose my knowledge of Die Hard is so much less than it should be to fully grasp the show’s references, but I liked what they did with the relationships all round.
I should admit that around B99 (i.e. in the break and after it finishes), I’m now watching Scorpion, which is very silly, not always successful at what it aims to do and yet compulsive, whereas previously I ‘kept an eye on’ The Good Wife’.
