Parks and Rec 5.03
Really funny, especially Leslie, although as she spent a lot of the episode in half a misguided perm, that is no surprise. I think the only misstep was having Donna read Fifty Shades of Grey, which must have seemed like a good idea at the time, maybe it was early days.
Leslie’s struggles to get her bill passed and her new jerky dentist/councillor nemesis were fun. I don’t quite understand why Tom had to be her assistant in this, but in the grander scheme of things, does it make any sense that Chris had the Parks and Rec team answer his phone line? No. But it got us Lucy Lawless and Andy flawlessly getting on with two little girls, so that’s fine.
And Ben and April bonded. Aww, Ben, writing fanfiction. Probably overidentifying with Data gen, right? (Is there fic about Ben and the world of TNG fanfiction, because I would read that.)
5.04
Featuring a moment where surely Ann thought ‘He used to be my boyfriend!?!?’ of Andy.
So, with the overall shift in dynamics, Tom also becomes one of Ron’s ‘children’ here, right?
I jaughed less and have clearly less to say.
Meanwhile, I saw a trailer for The Huntsman: Winter's War last night that suggested that they may tackle what I thought was going to be my main problem with the film, meaning I can enjoy watching Emily Blunt play a baddie (something I've long wanted), Jessica Chastain go all action-y, and the return of the Huntsman etc...
