getting this out of the way...

Parks and Rec 5.21
Andy reverted to season 1 Andy. BOO. I liked that he'd lost his place in the band because of an accident to his phone he never rectified or took responsibility for.
Leslie vs. Ron OVER MINI GOLF and Jam being the swing (heh) vote...should have been epic, although Ron was right about Leslie’s behaviour all day long and then I started thinking about how this is crazy golf in this country. I.e. not quite epic.
I don’t think I even tittered at anything, though.
5.22
A much more involving epiosde and a really good final episode in that it brought together pretty much everything that happened this season and let us know where nearly everyone was at. Leslie’s anniversary as a councilwoman coinciding with Founders Week (never mind that they’ve not mentioned before) was a great frame, with a public meeting, even if it was rather more pointed than usual, and a pageant AND a visit to Ron’s cabin. Rather a lot happened.
Having Andy stomp around trying to find out who was pregnant, and doing so as ‘Burt Macklin’, with an assist from Ann and her understandable reaction about someone else getting pregnant when she was trying – it should have come over as a huge, mean invasion of privacy, except it’s Andy and he just can’t think, so you couldn’t be mad. There was always the suspicion it was April. Although my first thought when she got the phone call was that she’d been rejected from veterinary school. Heh, of course she’d be disappointed by good news. But asking Leslie in public? In front of Ben and all those people? I did wince, while appreciating the impeccable timing.
I loved the switcheroo of it not being one of the five women who were there (I’m sorry, I was going to say ladies, but can’t describe Mona Lisa as one). Ron Swanson, facing not just being a father figure to overgrown children, but being an actual one... Plus, Leslie and Tom have a fight on their hands in the next season and maybe there will be less April.
