There's to be another Pirates of the Caribbean movie?!
Yes, and it's coming out at the end of the month! I'm hazy about when it was filmed - I've got a feeling it was in Australia and this had something to do with the Johnny Depp, Amber Heard dog business, which is a while back, and even allowing for special effects, doesn't suggest much that's good. The film-makers say they've gone back to the first film as a model, but I'm jaded because the people making POTC sequels have always said that.
There's been a lot of criticism of the screen versions of Spidey so far, so looks like they're very anxious for this one to do well. I'm intrigued, but... ho hum.
Yes, and this time Marvel has more control over the films, so it's a big deal, but having got myself invested to varying degrees and being entertained to varying degrees by the previous iterations, while being even further removed from Peter Parker age-wise, I can't be bothered. For me, Spider-man is no Batman :)
