NCIS: LA 4.7 Skin Deep
I missed the continuity announcer and seconds of the beginning of this episode, and I was really confused because this made no reference to the Cold War-era nukes/arms dealer/Quinn is Mrs Hanna plotline that had run over the last two episodes, plus suddenly there’s a reference to Nate and Rose the autopsy lady is a character (played by an actress who I feel I know from a handful of shows). It was fun and hung together well, with the running jokes about food and Scooby Doo and sports. We even had the other three agents hearing a little about Callen’s grim foster home experiences as he opened up to a care leaver (whose hero had a plan…to blackmail a killer. Good role model, kid.)
We got to see surfing!Deeks and had some flirting in character at a bar between him and Kensi until he took it too far, which was parsed up to a point.
I agree with Sam about golf. Er, basically, it was mostly disposable now that I come to write it up, even given what show I'm writing about.
