I've finally seen both episodes and think it's decent, but definitely not as good as the first season. Setting up the reasoning with Claire's murder to shift the show to San Francisco wasn't realistic for me but I was willing to play along and see how it went.
I do like Hailey but everyone else was so-so; Olivia was such a minor character that I felt they could've done without her (though of course she's needed to provide the information the others need from the police, and perhaps they'll be exploring more of her later).
At least this storyline wasn't dragged out and ended quickly. I'm hoping there might be improvements in the future episodes because currently, it's barely keeping me interested.
(And I everytime I saw Mr. Mason, I could only think of him as that guy from the "X-Files").
