My plan for the rest of the week is to post recs.

So, recs for fic, fanvids and fanart in the following fandoms: 13 Going on 30; Arrival; Brooklyn Nine-Nine; Guardians of the Galaxy; and Harry Potter.

13 Going on 30

So Ahead of Yourself: subjectivity (Jenna/Matt, five times fic, teen)

I clapped my hands together with pleasure at the end of this. Very believable filling out of what happened between the kiss in the basement and the very end of the film. I liked the characterisations and the nods to the film.

Arrival

indifferent, but distanced perfectly; projected endlessly: fakelight (Louise/Ian ficlet)

This fic expands on the film's themes and gifts the reader with hope, among other emotions, although I don't love the title.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Cover Me: amathela (Jake/Amy, spoilers up to 3.10)

I love early Jake/Amy going undercover and this does a great job on Jake's thought processes.

Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2

What You Wanted: sholio (ensemble)

I watched this quite soon after director Gunn was sacked, when I was in the mood to celebrate the films. The vid foregrounds emotions that are definitely there in the films, but not always what I firstly associate them with.

Harry Potter

I just found something endearing about his sticking-out ears in this portrait.

That James Potter: viria13 (fanart, James)

Yowza. I mean I could write something more considered by how I thought the artist had been influenced by Andrew Garfield at first glance or the square glasses, but the first comment covers it. (Heh, I looked at the comments to see if there was stronger analysis there. There isn’t.)

Luna on the Catwalk: vanillafluffy (gen, ficlet, written for my prompt)

What it says in the title. It’s Luna’s POV – so her – and what she makes of accidentally ending up on thecatwalk that make this.

After the Bombs: phantomagorienne (Remus/Tonks post-DH AU)

Remus and Tonks survived, and must now live with grief and loss, while finding out what it is to parent. Lovely, lyrical writing.

I Am The One Who Will Remember Everything: chaila (Minerva)

Brilliant use of Minerva's POV in this rich vid.
