Without going anywhere near spoilers, I can tell you the Big Reveal wasn’t popular on first showing either, hot mess just about covers it. Also, as for The Plan? At some point, they stop putting “they have a plan” at the start of every episode because the writers clearly don’t!
Interesting that you made that point about the Chief - Aaron Douglas hated that twist with the fire of a thousand suns, he has made no bones of that at different cons I’ve seen him at.
