Managed not to watch any TV so far this weekend, so The Mentalist joins the list of shows to catch up on. (Note to self: The Politician’s Husband should be on that list. Note to the BBC: why put it opposite The Good Wife?)
Once Upon a Time goes back to the 8 pm slot tonight, which doesn’t suit me (also, I wonder if they’ll make cuts? There was a move in one of last week’s fight scenes that made me think it was a good job it was after the watershed. And now I’m thinking of how oldfashioned I am.)
In other TV news, apparently ITV has the rights to show The Americans, which I think is a good thing – not necessarily that it’s on ITV, just that I’ll have a chance to see it.
I HAVE YET TO SEE IRON MAN 3. I haven’t been spoiled yet – honestly, I’m more worried by mundanes and trailers – and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to go and see it.
I finished Elizabeth Peters’s ‘Tomb of the Golden Bird’ today, which was fun. I thought she raised her game generally, with more zip to the plot and meatier character stuff. I suppose that the fact that it was set in the most famous season in Egyptology must have been good motivation. I got my mits on my copy in 2007, but had to wait until I’d read all the other books in the series first. Obviously.
