Grey Original fiction, OFC, past OMC/OFC, Victorianish setting. Written for the threesentenceficathon prompt 'Any, any, grey' 101 words.
Yeah, that’s where my mind went for ‘Any, any’ prompts. Austen and dancing-related fills feature heavily. I don’t think I had much considered writing Henry/Fanny futurefic before ‘One more time’, where my thinking was that Edmund was dead, but I don’t know that I would see a second chance for them, however much a part of Henry might want it. The prompt ‘Woke up sexy (again)’ made me think of Mary Crawford. Obviously! And the ‘again’ probably gave me the idea to write about her at various points in her life. The 2007 adaptation is not ‘my’ adaptation of ‘Persuasion’ (that’s the 90s one) but because I’d been thinking about Austen, what they did with Kellynch Hall there came to mind when I saw the prompt.
I did not expect to be writing any Wicked fic, but I really took swotty outsider Elphaba to heart. Neither did I expect to write ‘Possibilities’, which I might as well admit is St Trinian’s fic, and I haven’t actually read or watched any of the books or films in full, just seen clips and popculture osmosis. The ‘Stuff and Nonsense’ fic was probably inspired by two tennis players who had just won when I came across the prompt. The original ficlets are about generic royals or nobles, with some being Regencyish or Victorianish.
It’s nice to have any fic to post, and 3SF has been about the one thing I can do in recent years – I haven’t written any fiction since - and this year’s fills have been quite a lot for me.
