the sea, the city, the road: afterism (gen, teen, Clara and Eleanor)
They find each other, across the years.
So plausible, and so beautifully written. Loved the attention given to the throughline of the central relationship.
Casablanca

I described this in my to be watched list as 'Casablanca anti-facsism vid', which it is, but very well done and really powerful.
Galaxy Quest
Galaxy Quest Episode 57: “The Fairest of Them All”: Nary (gen, metafic)
Spot on! This entry from the Complete Questrian Episode Guide won me over with all the details (I'd list them, but I might as well quote the whole fic), and the knowing rightness of how Galaxy Quest would do a Dark AU and how the public, fans and actors would respond.
Shadows (Robin McKinley)
How we define the integrity of one world: nnozomi (Takahiro, Takahiro/Maggie, after the book)
I enjoyed the flow of words from mostly quiet in the book Takahiro. This is such a plausible ‘what next’, credibly from his perspective, and the Takahiro/Maggie is lovely.
Whip It!
A Measure of Devotion: blackclaude (Bliss & Pash, post movie, longish)
Really good friendship fic. Just like the film, this is so very specific, and here the details are tangible, but universal and relatable. I like that there's momentum from the film.
