wishing I could remember one quote!

I managed to watch The Mindy Project finale on TV. I was a little disappointed. Surely they would have learned how to write an episode of twentysomething minutes by now. I'm almost wondering if they thought they had a double-lenght ep for the finale and then that was changed. (I had been spoiled that there might be more shippy scenes cut.) It just felt as if there were several scenes missing - what was the point of the triplet plot-line exactly? Apart from seeing the three partners have the suiting up moment just Mindy'd had at the start of the season, what else did it bring? I thought the upshot of it was going to be that Jeremy managed to deliver the three babies while Mindy and Danny were having their relationship issues. As it was, the timeline made no sense and the babies were never born.
As for the shipping, I don't buy Mindy's realisation and dramatic cutting of her hair. She's still going to find living in a tent in Haiti with Casey too much. (My prediction would have been 0 days.) The final scene - while I appreciate them giving us some Danny/Mindyness, again felt like there were some scenes involving Danny and Christina missing. I felt that was the case so much that I really couldn't appreciate The Moment with the glasses at all.
I wish I hadn't been so disappointed with the end of this season!
I am starting to come to terms with the fact that it's now autumn. I missed watching the Strictly show (and The One Show special, for that matter), so will have to catch up on it alongside the OUaT finale when I have proper internet access.)
