Good silly, bad silly.

I started catching up on Nashville last night, but I’ll save my thoughts for one mega post when I’m all caught up. The TV that I watched on TV was:
Brooklyn Nine-Nine 1.15 Operation: Broken Feather
I laughed throughout, but I did wonder where this episode was going for a while. The Captain and the Sarge going crazy over efficiency was amusing, but Jake’s total inability to deal with his freak out/feelings about Santiago going to work for the enemy was very cute. Also the two actors are playing it so that when the characters are off guard/not being annoying, they very much enjoy each other’s company AND/OR trying not to laugh.
Revenge 3.17 Addiction
Well, that was mainly a silly episode, and I was seriously considering not watching it and watching Nashville instead, where I’m more invested in more characters. Emily looked good for most of it and I liked Victoria’s hair, but not Nolan’s jacket. Speaking of, Aiden’s snark about Nolan taking Emily playing hot and cold made me snicker and was probably the best line of the episode. Aiden got the best line of the episode! That’s so wrong.
One of the few scenes with real emotional heft was Conrad confronting Stevie about Jack and her adultery, because, of course, children are a sore point with him – although as Daniel is transmogrifying into his father, I doubt that they’ll do a switcheroo about his parentage. I liked that he had his own nickname for her, although their retcon about her and Pascal and Victoria is stretching it.
I can’t even be bothered to rustle up an argument about how Jack subconsciously wanted Margeaux to go (yes, yes, he urged Emily to tell Aiden how she felt, but that is a mere nothing when you’re a shipper who thinks Emily/Jack is endgame), although I am curious as to what Stevie is up to. Some of the developments made sense – Aiden remembering that his father’s death was unavenged – but mostly not.
Why don't they let Pascal and Margeaux carry out their arguments in French?
