I planned to catch up on the last two episodes of Agents of SHIELD last night, but I forgot that the episodes don’t stay available for longer than a week on 4OD. So the internet tells me that in 2.4 Face my Enemy Melinda May and Coulson did some stuff were fake married (which is a trope I nearly always fall for and though I don’t think Coulson’s good enough for her, I can see why people would ship them). Stupid 4onDemand. Stupid Channel 4 – Friday night isn’t necessarily a good night for me, and this show still doesn’t come at the top of my list of shows to watch, so I need as much help as possible.
Anyway, a bit grumpy and a lot tired, I caught up on 2.5 A Hen in the Wolf House
May was right in a very understated way about three times. This pleased me.
I’m not finding Skye annoying. Even if we’re exploring how she might be Special by alienness. I mean, I’m not always there with her like the show wants me to be, but the power of the fringe is still there.
Hurrah at Adrienne Palicki getting to show her comic book chops, even if it isn’t her Wonder Woman (echoes of Electra and Natasha in IM2 to Bobbi, though). She towers over Elizabeth Henstridge. Of course she’s Hunter’s ex wife, with some history with Mac. I don’t know about the expansion of the team, though. It just seems like a huge cast, and I was disappointed that we didn’t get a little more of Fitz and Simmons’s reunion and a huge cast is going to take away from stuff like that. (PS don't bother with Trip/Simmons, show, you dropped that ball horribly at the start of this season.)
MacLachlan’s crazy Daddy should play off Diamond’s controlled Whitehall nicely. And Raina survived, which is a good thing.
