Agents of Shield 2.6
Another episode that I rather enjoyed, all told. I laughed at all the characters rolling their eyes at Hunter. I enjoyed the fight scenes (Palicki's charisma makes me wish her career were better) especially the May-Scarlotti fight. The way that they handled Ward, from Coulson's reality check, to Skye squeezing one last interview from him, was cheering. I don't know if his brother is actually worse than him, and I don't much care, investment wise, I'll just watch how it plays out, although I thought that there was a believable bone-structure resemblence, so well done, casting directors. Normally, you have to give so much mental leeway when they cast family members.
I suppose it was time that Ward was let loose (silly soldiers) but I could have lived with Simmons going down to pay a visit, because it would have been interesting to see how she reacted to him after he tried to suffocate her and Fitz. As it was, what we got was her being able to stand up for Skye (I do like their friendship) which was a nice balance to the stuff with Fitz.
So yeah, a well-balanced episode.
