A bit of silliness

Revenge 4.2 Disclosure
Did formerly dead David Clarke explain himself? No, Bearded!David Clarke seemed to think it was his job to ask the questions and merely imply conspiracies or whatever saved him. I was left feeling disappointed in the White Haired Man who then went after his wife. However, his thinking that Amanda was dead was a legitimately decent twist, ‘someone else was in your house’ was poignant. Emily mourning to Nolan that her father was dead and gone was heavy-handed. (Though I thought Emily Van Camp did a good job at playing Emily’s frailty.)
Nolan made some noises about not being Emily’s Revenge enabler. Neither Emily nor I listened.
Charlotte’s latest cry for help was big and loud enough for Emily to pay her attention. (Daniel, once again, didn’t have it in him.) About time for Emily to cop to being Amanda to her if they’re going to keep the character around. The explanation for the tattoo was good, but it was really satisfying to have Charlotte call Emily out for choosing revenge and all that she did over her. And if anyone had a right to smash that box, it’d be her.
We were then reminded that she’s Victoria’s daughter too, but I’m not really worried for Emily, even though it looked like Jack was told the Stowaway was empty in the background.
Margiaux is still more of a stooge than she thinks she is (although not as much as Bearded!David Clarke) – probably because she was comparing herself against Gideon, whom the show tore through. Wonder how long it’ll take it to get through Jack’s intrigued by Emily cop partner? But yes, I did dig Jack warning him off Emily.
(The sponsor thinks the above is 'indulgent entertainment'.)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine 2.2 It still makes me laugh. Rosa was the only sane one of them all, I think, and she was right about getting Charles out of his ex’s basement. Meanwhile the feud between Holt and the supervisor was silly and petty and venomous in a very specific to them way, but Amy’s reaction shots made it even better. And Jake actually knowing hearts aren’t found in heads was impressive after...much of what he said and did – like trying to stop the Sarge from doing anything physically. In what ‘verse was that going to work, Jake?
