Revenge 4.7 Ambush
Ugh, a teaser that then moved 20 hours earlier. I don’t like starting with those, especially on this show, which has probably overused them.
I’d forgotten that Nolan had officiated at Amanda and Jack’s wedding. My main memory of Nolan’s relationship with Amanda was him snarking at her.
I spent a lot of time going ‘half’ every time Daniel used the word sister in relation to Charlotte.
So in his first conversation with Emily, David did that thing where you’re not sure how much of the subtext was intentional with him. Emily ducked in and out of the shadows – I needed the debrief with Nolan to figure out her full response, though. I suppose David no longer being the David she remembers is a huge enough thing to be worth the mystery of why and where he hid.
Did anyone think Louise’s Momma was real?
The convo between Daniel and Emily was fun, his (Conradish) attitude, the slight hurt coming through, and him finally seeing her for who she really is. I...look forward to future scenes between them.
At least neither Jack nor Margiaux were totally stupid.
Dramatic, but strange ending. The straw that broke Ems’ back made sense, because to who else would she turn, and it was basically the hurt child spilling uncontrollably out of her, but then Victoria’s electrocution!?!?
I didn't watch Gotham as it was a feature-length episode, and I wanted my sleep. I'll catch up eventually.
