Brooklyn Nine-Nine catch-up

A good Boyle episode from the beard to the over-involvement in Jake’s issues to loving being called Wanda Cohen.
Bradley Whitford works well as Jake’s dad, continuing the excellent parental casting run. Jake’s eleventh birthday story was so sad.
And I kept expecting Hitchcock to be the one to solve the puzzle...but no.
2.19 Sabotage
Excellent opener – I yelp-laughed at that.
I also laughed very loudly at Boyle having to tell Scully that the reason the guy’s name kept coming up was because he was the victim. (But they did do the Hitchcock and Scully can do their job surprise twist here.)
Wow, Holt, you made me feel sorry for Gina by putting dancing down.
And the homicidal ice-cream van driver was very Avengers (the one with Dr Peel) – I didn’t recognise him as Sophia’s former boss on my own. Anyway, he was droll. Nice little references to the previous episode with the Canadian money and cashews. The whole thing about Jake realising his trust issues came from his father’s behaviour was a bit less subtle (I lie like a coward!) but is maybe character growth. However, I always had faith in Dets. Dias and Santiago. And credit to the show for mixing up which characters interact.
I actually watched these episodes the night before last, but didn't want to post my reaction with the Spooks stuff, and didn't get around to posting this until now.
