Weak. It mainly involved Tuppence having to explain what she was doing nosing about in other people’s hotel rooms.

Not being a jealous spouse, I thought Carl’s shock at the news Khan was dead was genuine and the fact that Mrs S had found the body a bit dubious. Even if the alleged relationship explained her going to look for him, she seemed very determined to sell his suicidal mood, and really, Dear M for Major? How intimate. Not. But apparently that makes me catty – so I will note that our two idiots haven’t paid Roy Marsden’s character or the Polish maid any heed. I also wished Mrs Minton had stood up even more to her horrid bully of a husband.

Basically I theorised wildly about Khan while keeping up with the not very demanding shenanigans on screen.

Tuppence looked good in that red suit until she put her fur coat on and we had double animal print, but I was really irked with how pathetic she was at the end. If she was afraid of the dark, she could have gone the outside way instead of through the tunnel, bleating ‘Tommy, wait for me’ when he was busy chasing someone. If they end this run with 'Partners With Crime WILL Return', I suspect my response will be a big old shrug, even if they were to recast Tommy.
