Double-bill (3.01-3.02)
I am fairly close to Charles Boyle levels of glee at Jake/Amy! Not quite as ramped up as he is, but it seems to be working, give or take that they killed someone with their making out (heh and !!!!), and that they’re so awkward, and Amy Santiago is incapable of 'light and breezy' but his toast and her beating him to knock at his door...I’m almost spinning in that most shows would have broken them up on the basis of even less than the obstacles they had to face, and probably ruined the ship. That, despite their issues, they stuck to it is pretty endearing and gives rise to hope!
I was wondering if four-drink Amy, as laid out by Gina last season, had some influence on the sex-having.
I like what little I’ve seen of Bill Hader (Adventureland), but the tablets were better than his captain (oh, Rosa, getting to destroy hers!) – at least with the Vulture, they all hate him. But Gina should be spouting her random brainsplurges in the precinct and Peralta works better off Holt. So, although I appreciated Wensch and Holt’s running battle and the whole pigeon low point, I don’t want the separation to last too long.
As is obvious by the repetition, I don’t have much to say, I was smiling, at least, throughout, laughing enough, and thrilled as a shipper. I don’t know if E4 will be continually doing double-bills.
Thanks to her turn in the second episode, we had a bit of Archie Panjabi in the Thursday 9 to 10 pm slot, but she deserves better than guest starring in a sitcom, even if it’s a funny one.
Apparently, Agents of SHIELD will also be back on telly – on E4, not Channel 4 and in a later slot. Is that ‘cause of the ratings or was the violence/darkness a little too much for this ‘Expect adrenaline-fuelled action’ family viewing tag? I wouldn’t say it’s a show I’d automatically put in the Sunday 9 o’clock slot, myself, but as I prefer to watch it on a big screen than the laptop and am more invested in it than War and Peace, I’ll try to watch it live.
