The Joe Biden meet went about as perfectly as it could. Hee.
It almost justifies Mr Wyatt going to Washington, (Scott should avoid doing fake English accents forthwith).
Chris doesn’t seem to have got much better, but Tom seems to have grown a bit (as a person). Not so much Andy, but his irony-deflecting stupidity was funny.
And April wanting to do something with Leslie’s park and Leslie’s conflicted feelings about it was delicious, especially as it drew in Ron’s admissions about waffles and when they took it to the council chamber. I’m glad they’ve brought back the lot that started it all. Also, Ann-in-charge made me wish anew that Ann/Ron would happen.
The final scene was great; I’d forgotten that they loved Ben’s terrible jokes at that office. The visual gag of tiny Tom jumping into his arms like a child and Ben realising what he’d done after saying it out loud were perfect.

Was that opening a jab at NPR? I mean, I chuckled, I just thought it was aimed at something in particular. I have also been overthinking what Eagleton stands for.
So, is the dog portion of April’s plan and, indeed, April’s involvement now limited? I hope not, I have a feeling that this is going to take up a lot of this season’s attention.
Anyway, Leslie hating Eagleton, Eagleton hating Pawnee, and Leslie being Pawnee, while Ben took things at face value was good.
I LOVED that bored weekend security guard!Andy led to Andy and April role-playing. They are so into their ludicrous scenarios.
I wonder if I kept expecting Reston St James to be a true blue Eagletonian because of Glee’s Jesse St James. Punchy Leslie was a hoot. The balloon versions of them were scary.
Really nice continuity and call-backs throughout both episodes.
