TV catch-up

Suits 6.15 Quid Pro Quo
My immediate thought after watching this ep on catch-up was: I don’t have any coherent thoughts about this…
But I’ll try! It was all Harvey not listening to what Mike was saying while listening to what he thought he meant, and ditto Rachel and everyone changing their minds (Mike about what he wanted and the others about listening to him) and doing dubious things to make Mike a lawyer (can I cling on to the fact that the dying miners got something better?) (Oliver will be so gutted when he finds out.)
At one point, where Rachel was arguing for something, I remember thinking she will make a good lawyer, if she’s allowed to be one. I liked the scene where Rachel gave Louis advice. Of course, what worked for her relationship, which is textually hardcore shipped by the show, did not work for his, perhaps because he turned on his girlfriend the second she didn’t immediately forgive him.
And then I thought Donna was impressive at her proper meeting, but the top vulture didn’t (because he was a snobby chauvinist?) and he made her sad, but Benjamin had been injected by her confidence and chutzpah and could see that she had qualities he didn’t, and so stood by their partnership. And I nearly forgot that I don’t like The Donna as a concept, but they’ve finally found a way to make it emotionally resonant. Also, Donna wore an excellent coat at one point.
Perhaps I didn’t want to have coherent thoughts, because I’m not always sure I like all these characters enough to make up for all the stuff I don’t approve of. At the same time, it’s glossy and I find myself looking forward to watching it.
