Agents of SHIELD 4.6 The Good Samaritan
I was reminded by the 'previously' that the big scary book looks like a photo album the prop department got at the last minute and scrawled upon in the spirit of 'will this do?'.
I was relieved to see that Kerr Smith had been aged uo in the pervious episode from the ‘back in the day’ scenes. The ‘back in the day’ joke wore a bit thin, even if it was partly to aid the reveal that all we were shown went down around the same time and was linked.
The reveal that it was Eli who was the ‘him’ the ‘ghosts’ had been complaining about, not Lucy’s husband, was a genuine twist for me. So Gabriel has been doubly betrayed, althouh he still comes off as a whiny teen at times. Probably good characterisation, that, but I still note it. As Daisy attempted to lie and cover for Robbie in front of his brother, I could see myself Shipping the two leather jackets.
Some of the dichotomies were clunky. To me, it looked as if a previous Ghost Rider had transferred his powers to Robbie.
Of course Coulson only trusted May with the book!
Fitz got particularly snarky as Simmons disappeared under a hood for a whole episode – I wonder if she’ll get a whole episode to herself to explain what she was up to this time.
We got a throwdown between Mace and Ghost Rider, and Phil still got his way over Daisy and Robbie. Ha. Mace still hasn’t realised that Daisy is family to Coulson.
