Two things (about Avengers of some sort)

shallownessMaybe a Black Widow movie is inching closer into existence. I read this at The Guardian, squeaked, had to try to explain why…and it was a squeak, not squeeing.
As to the news, I want something more definite before I let myself squee, and I don’t think they need to wait to see how Captain Marvel does before getting this going. If it happens, it’ll be interesting to see if they’ll pull in other Avengers (Bruce or Clint?) and what size role they get – although Tony and Hulk had smaller parts than I was expecting in Homecoming and Ragnarok.
In the other (British) Avengers news, Shane ‘Iron Man 3’ Black and his writing partner are working on a reboot of The Avengers. My thoughts: don’t do what the movie did (although Fiennes was good casting, it was a mess). And underlying that, there's great wariness. I know extreme reboots have worked, but I think you need to understand the era in, well, England, to get it right, and the tone of The Avengers is easy to get wrong.
