4.4 Don’t Haze Me, Bro
Aaaand Jackie’s back. Aaaaaaand there are wood lice.
Eli trying to handle Jackie, and Eli being schooled in the treatment of Jackie by Alicia was fun.
I thought that was a neat solution to bringing Cary back into the middle of things, beyond the instant comedy, and he had an ace moment when he reminded the brains trust of the terms of their case, as angry!Diane had got tied into her fight. Not that I didn’t enjoy driven!Diane, but I wobbled when she and Alicia failed to see where John Glover’s lawyer was going to go the second that delightful young man (the killer) pointed out that there were issues about the colour of his skin between him and the dead young man. John Glover wasn’t allowed to reach Lionel Luthoresque levels of anything, though, possibly even overshadowed by the judge.
I am a little sad for Alicia and Maura Tierney’s poor little rich woman (next time she appears, I may grasp her name) in that their friendship is so severely handicapped by other things. But if it wasn’t the campaign, it’d be Alicia’s job, so I'm not surprised.
I am also likely to be persuaded, like Kalinda, that Peter may well have been sleeping around with twentysomething campaign staffers, which is icky. Certainly, if she’s firing on all cylinders, Kalinda is the one person who’s going to get through the morass of lies (hi, Eli). I don’t think it matters who spilled the story to the blogger (or does it?) Oh, and I want to see the Trustee and Eli go up against each other.
