Hart of Dixie: 3.12 Should Have Been A Cowboy
A few months (?) later, or so I thought I heard some character mumble, and it was ‘health and wellbeing month’ in Bluebell, but George was still tiptoeing around Lavon and Tansy after the break-up with Lynley. Lots of plotlines ensued, with Joel needing to prove his masculinity (in increasingly bizarre ways) because Tom had pointed out the main character of his second book wasn’t a very convincing cowboy and Zoe had pointed out that no, he couldn’t remodel their new house himself. This roped in Wade, who had to spill his secrets of living a ‘badass’ life. Which of course involved not always doing what he said he was doing or had done.
Zoe had decided she’d pay for the expensive remodelling job by getting Brick to agree to making her partner again by offering a bet that she’d win the health and wellbeing challenge, except Cricket had decided to bring forward a cake fest, meaning it was unlikely Bluebell’s residents could keep off the pounds for the final weigh-in. (Brick knew this when he agreed.) So, Zoe had to find out why Cricket would do that…
…at a bachelorette party AB was emotionally blackmailed into holding (because Cricket had another plotline and none of the other Belles were paid to speak) for a woman she didn’t like. Because she wasn’t upset that Lavon and her were keeping things slow. Oh, no.
At the party, we got Tom and Meatball doing their version of exotic dancing. That and Zoe and AB’s reaction was quite funny. It was quite a Tom-heavy episode as he got involved in rebuilding George and Lavon’s friendship.
Also at the party, Zoe learned that Cricket had brought forward Cake Fest to make money because she’d lost nearly all the Belles’ cash, which I totally believe. And it became obvious that AB was not all right, and neither was her relationship with Lavon.
So, as Zoe accepted she’d lost the bet to Brick, Joel thought he’d become a man because he’d thrown a punch (and got a bloody nose,) George finally asked Tansy out, a hungover AB asked Lavon some pointed questions and it became clear she loved him more than her. (And I’m team AB here. Once she said he had all the power in their relationship, it was always going to go this way. Who knows where they’ll take it?
But as it was going to take two expensive months to make Termite House habitable, maybe Zoe and Joel could move back to the guesthouse.)
