What a gem. The characterisations are so on point, Steve's objections are valid, and you can already see the tensions that might arise between them, but...what a 'What if' this is.
The Memoirs of Lady Trent

Excellent missing scene I didn't know I needed. Perfect tone, totally in character at this point in proceedings and a joy to see the foundations of Isabella and Tom's partnership being built a little higher.
The Night Manager
Common Mind: withthekeyisking (Jonathan/Jed)
This has such involving characterisation. Given their damage, this feels like a pretty positive aftermath. Or as another commenter said ‘awesome character study, contemplation, future fic.’

This has a lot of characterful fun with its ‘opposites attract in high fantasy’ setting.
