Surely settling into the format

Killjoys 1.3 - The Harvest
Dutch didn’t get many answers from her captive target, even though she tortured him a bit. I kind of felt she was asking the wrong questions, but, accepting he wasn’t lying, she let him go and told him to hide.
D’avin was provisionally accepted as a Killjoy if he passed a psych eval. He found out that all those free drinks they’d been getting at the bar weren’t really free, and put in a stint as a bouncer, only to go so far that he put off a pretty and drunk patron who’d been interested in him. Turned out she was a doctor who could give him a psych eval, and he probably needed one, given his lack of control there. (imdb tells me she's called Pawter Simms; no wonder I didn’t take in her name.)
Johnny was a bit miffed that his brother had been accepted at level 4, and talked Dutch into their taking the warrant of the husband of a friend (he paid to have sex with) over visa problems. The Doctor said she’d pass D’avin if he let her come along so she could visit the nearby bazaar for medical supplies.
On the mission, Dutch was pretending to be a highfalutin’ lady, Johnny was a prole because Dutch had come up with their cover stories. It soon became clear that the workers were treated badly (exploding trackers), and their warrant had cut his ear off so that he could be free. D’avin found out the Doctor was sneaky and determined, and she diagnosed him with some kind of stress syndrome. I like her! We found out a little more in that D’avin didn’t know what the doctor he was looking for had done to him.
Johnny thought he was getting somewhere in his investigations, and didn’t like Dutch pulling rank and telling him not to push it, although she was fairly clear it was to protect him. Her investigations had alerted the boss and ships would soon be arriving to destroy the drug lab equivalent in the woods that their warrant was behind, so Dutch, D’avin and Lucy were working against the clock. Of course, Johnny had ignored orders, had his ear cut off, been taken to Vincent, got busted and was at the end of a gun. But by the time Dutch reached him, Johnny had the gun on Vincent and the rest and was proud of himself. Deciding to save himself, Vincent came along with them.
Justice was served, though. Also, the Doc passed D’avin, but told him he needed treatment.
Dutch and Johnny checked in with heach other, where he admitted to having mixed feelings about D’avin swanning in and changing their dynamic. Dutch said some reassuring things, but didn’t really answer his questions about what was up with her, claiming it was over (she and we know better than that.) She also let slip about D’avin’s search for a doctor, which his brother hadn’t known about. The scene was somewhat undercut by the bandage Johnny had been wearing to cover his severed ear not really being in place and showing the actor’s perfectly fine ear.
Apart from the character stuff, plus offscreen Johnny competence and onscreen Dutch taking down three men, we learned that there’s a lot of casual sex about, and Westerly (sp?), where our guys are based, is seen to be a bit of a dump where people end up in this 'verse.
