Fic and fanvid recs in the following fandoms: The Decoy Bride, Ever After, Friends, I Am Dragon, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Scorpion, Top of the Lake and Uprooted.

Snapshots: kairos (Katie/James, post-movie drabble series)
This is lovely and well judged, by which I mean the balance between funny and Katie's real initial concerns, and finding connections to Hegg, and...
Ever After
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes: Milly (Danielle/Henry)
This fanvid features such a choice composition of clips, with really nice visual links, as well as honouring the narrative of the film.
Friends
And he’s gotta be larger than life: flotationdevice (gen with canon pairings, season 5 spoilers, Superheroes AU)
This was so fun! Their voices and dynamics are so them, even with the superpowers, and of course they'll all come to rescue each other.
I Am Dragon
A Song Half Remembered: devon380black (Arman, pre-canon ficlet)
Vividly written scene.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Fighting fire with firewood: Siria (Natasha-centric, Natasha/Clint, long, post the Avengers movie)
What a great look at Natasha this is! (Jossed, though.)
The Bechdel Test: Frea_O (gen, ensemble)
I am so late for this, but the ‘Droll humour’ tag is spot on. I liked it enormously.
Of Coatrooms and Closets: nessismore (Darcy/Steve, quite long)
This story of a relationship developing in coatrooms is charming and moving.
Congratulations on an Excellent Kill: igrockspock (gen, Natasha, Clint, Coulson, Fury)
Funny, sad and sweet AND IN CHARACTER. I love that Natasha is genuinely trying, which is disturbing others. So deftly done, though there’s at least one typo.
Scorpion
The Scientific Method: imgoingtocrash (Toby/Happy ficlet, early season 2, jossed)
Really in character, and Toby's history warring with his feelings felt very true.
Top of the Lake
Irons: orphan_account (post season 1 gen, Johnno, Tui, Robin)
Really good Johnno voice. This epilogue is a credible and compelling read.
Uprooted
A Dream, Nothing More: athenasdragon (Agnieszka/Sarkan, long, epilogue to the novel)
Of course they're terrible at communicating about their fears at such a high-stakes reunion! Loved the characterisation and thought the voice was in keeping with the book.
