Claudia is my favourite

I had little control over the remote over the weekend, but did manage to watch Agents of SHIELD uninterrupted – and eh, it was fine, Melinda May is the best of them by far. I rolled my eyes even while smiling at Coulson. Somewhere in the tryhard scientists and soldiers and hackers assemble business, at least not!Keira* was trying to make nice with Skye. I also found myself beginning to care about Skye’s relationship with Coulson, so the Rising Tide betrayal might lead to intriguing places, even if I want her to SHUT UP with her ‘up the people’ nonsense and Ward’s ‘orders = good’. Both their positions are idiotic and simplistic. He looked better in this episode’s clothes, but, come on, if he speaks six languages, why have him play so dumb when people speak science** around him? Basically, I wouldn't have minded had he fallen out of the hole in the plane.
I expected Fury or whoever it was after the credits. And I’m still bitter about the schwarma BTW. But then, Thor: The Dark World is coming and I’m all set to be entertained by Loki’s hair.
Marvel has me because of all the associations with the movieverse, I suppose, and while I don’t care much for most of this team, I can watch daft stuff being blown up for daft reasons quite happily, but I hope this improves vastly.
* No, I don’t remember which is Fitz and which is Simmonds.
** Pseudo-science.
Strictly Saturday. So, thanks to Family Member having the remote, I missed the highest scoring dance, bits of other dances, some of the scoring, basically lots of it. Given that Claudia was showing Tess how to present (be funny, make dull stuff entertaining, connect with people and have proper timing) this was a shame. Obviously, one wants Bruce to recover...and realise Strictly is too much for him.
My scattered impressions on the night, then: I enjoyed Susanna again, though her hair was ridiculous (but not as ridiculous as Ola’s). I still love Dave, but thought Mark stole the entertaining crown (and can dance better). Most of my impressions were confirmed: I don’t like Natalie, she’s too good, so I like her hair in training, enjoy the dance - I thought Artem definitely responded to Aliaz throwing down the gauntlet - but I already want anyone to win over her. Also, the blue velvet smoking jacket, while not as heinous as last week or as psychedelic as some of the stuff worn by some of them, was not great.
Otherwise, I’m rooting for most of them to improve, enough of them are clearly loving it and communicating that.
Nines in week 2, though? And yet - for I watched it on iPlayer - Sophie's Charleston was amazing for so early. The only fault that I saw was that she didn't quite finish things off, but she and Brendan were so in sync.
My prediction and expectation is that Tony will go. I didn't make the effort to iPlayer his Charleston, although I saw little of it.
