Person of Interest double-bill

2.7 Critical
Nice A-plot with poor Doctor Maddie being asked to violate the Hippocratic oath for Amy, although it was obvious to everyone bar John that someone looking to off a billionaire CEO would have back-ups to his sniper. Glad he learned quickly.
Wesley made me bounce up and down in excitement and glee at his capability and attitude – a worthy foe. I hope he comes back.
Given that we had Leon come back and Carter cross paths with Snow again and learn a little more about what was going on with him, I have hopes of that.
Crucial conversation between Reese and her. How much does she want to know, indeed? Cause she wants to know a lot, but especially given what we’d seen this episode about personal cost, that’s a tough question.
Does Reese have enough information to suspect that what’s-her-name isn’t dead?
Will we learn more about Finch’s phobia? Of course he had to step in, although I certainly wouldn’t have known which implements the doctor was referring to. And I watched most of ER.
I also hope Finch double checked that Leon stuck to looking where he was meant to on his computer. I presume that the Machine consciously decided it would be useful for them to save Leon again....
2.8 Til Death us do Part
Romance all round, although the black comedy vein of the married NoTWs having set hitmen on each other offset any saccharineness. Besides, Harold and Grace made my heart hurt a little (and with her love of mystery, perhaps another writer than Dickens should have been her favourite). Getting the picture donated for the museum for her is almost no biggie as he funds hospital wings or pretends to invest in imprints with ease, but the scavenger hunt showed that he knew what she’d like and it was lovely. I hope her disappearance in the modern day means little and that Harold and Bear get to see her in his daily stalking, although I think she’s bound to get in danger now – perhaps linked to what made him fake his own death (!!!) and perhaps not. Like Reese, I’m intrigued by Harold’s past – I wonder how it’ll compare with Root’s.
Lionel’s Rhonda seemed nice – she persevered through Lionel’s stiff and bad at dating phase. Although at first, I thought she was mighty curious. And Carter found a boy that made her act a little like a girl, rather than a detective.
Um, I finally saw the show intentionally put in some Reese/Carter subtext. I will now ignore that that happened.
The line about Finch being sure that Reese wouldn’t mind dangling the Mr and Mrs off the roof made me chortle, like a couple of others, but the hand-to-hand fight towards the end wasn’t great.
I'm still one episode behind.
