Mainly about Revenge

A busy couple of days, but let me take you back to Monday night, when I thought I should catch up with Revenge and then I could get into the cycle of watching it live.
Revenge 3.4 – (in which I criticise characters for being not very nice in one sentence and then get vicious myself the next.)
Emily really needs to tend to Charlotte and Daniel, before their suspicions at her coldness reach critical levels. She might also do with listening to Jack list all the people he’s lost because of Conrad and realise how angry he is. She could do with listening to herself telling him to stay out of the Revenge game, because those reasons equally apply to her. Aiden heard the protective note when Emily was talking about Jack and got jealous – he should take a step back and realise he heard Emily being protective. I don’t think he realises that Nolan also is going to be protective of Jack (although, again, we should have had a Nolan-Jack scene by now, show). I am amused by the way he is likely to be chopped off at the knees because I don’t like Aiden.
I did think that Conrad being in hospital might be bad for Emily’s Huntingdon’s scam, so I’m glad that the show picked up on that.
Two hitches in Conrad’s adrenaline rush at not being dead, which seem to be leading to obnoxious delusions of grandeur – Charlotte not talking to him and Daniel really showing he’s a Grayson now.
I wasn’t sure if Victoria was in on the gallery plan with Patrick. Well, they proved his ex-wife’s claim this episode. He is an user – I wonder when Victoria gets over her glee that he chose her (was she deliberately trying to make him jealous about her other two kids or is it just habit to try to get them on side?) if she’s going to realise that. I think we’ve seen enough genuine rejected!son from Patrick to presume that though both he and Nolan have their eyes open and are maneuvering for advantage, there could be hurt.
I wonder if seeing Emily’s real grief over Father Paul’s death may favour her in Patrick’s eyes. If it matters.
Oh, and Emily should have said ‘thank you’ to Jack for getting the evidence in time before the car was crushed. I know we’re meant to think Victoria is the top suspect for cutting the brakes, but I think she’s a red herring. How delightful for her, though, framing someone for stealing her artwork = stealing a whole gallery.
I then watched 3.5 live and learned that two episodes of Revenge in one night is too much for me Aiden was deeply unsubtle and there was a moment where I thought ‘huh, you are basically Ashley here’. I don’t know that Emily would have responded the way she did to Aiden and his jealousy if she hadn’t seen Margot kissing Jack. Has she told him that her grand plan at the end of it all is to confess to all she's done and go to jail?
Oh, Margot, stop seeking male approval. (Jack could easily have phoned to explain. I know he was terrified for his kid and very charming, but...)
Patrick is still a wildcard, and I am amused that seeing as he tried to kill Conrad he is taking the high ground of ‘don’t stalk me’ with Nolan. And then I think, what is this show making me be amused at? So, no blow by blow response, just a vow not to watch a double-bill in one night again. One TV slot hour is quite enough.
Then the other night, Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief was on. I gave it nearly an hour, but felt that it was a story for boys who don't like reading - which is so not me.
